The Lost.

This is for the lost or people who may not understand mental health.


The mind is a beautiful place. Our minds ability to perceive the world in a million ways. Yet, something so beautiful can be a scary place. 


Sometimes, our minds go into autopilot. Giving you the inability to control what we’re feeling. A disassociation to ones self and others. That is a scary place. Everything you once knew torn beneath you. Hopeless. Afraid. Alone. Lost in a perception of a million ways. 


The disconnection to yourself and others makes it hard to communicate what you’re feeling. How do you explain a feeling that is unknown to you? 


Yes, there are people that can check on you, but it takes a special person to understand when someone simply cannot connect to others or their self. It’s not just a bad day that can be fixed by a ‘fun time’, while those things may help please keep in mind it may make it worse. 


It’s a lost feeling and they desperately just want to come back to self. Sometimes, that person escapes other ways because they don’t know what they’re feeling or why. It’s a feeling of scrolling through your phone and losing time.. it’s a feeling of driving in your car and realizing what did you just pass? You’re stuck in that state of lost. 


To my lost friends; it is OK to feel what you are feeling. You will reconnect to yourself and others. I will listen, care, love, and most importantly need you to know you are normal and ok. 


Lots of people silently struggle during these dark months. Sometimes, it’s not as simple as checking in.
